oasis farm opening
The Oasis Farm Waterloo has teamed up with charity Jamie’s Farm to transform what was previously a piece of abandoned land into a working farm. The farm opened its doors last week, where TV presenter Anthea Turner cut a ribbon to mark the official opening. As well as lots of lambs, piglets and chickens, there’s also an outdoor eating area in summer where they’ll be cooking up pizzas in a cob oven.
Oasis have transformed a piece of wasteland in the heart of London SE1 into an oasis of beauty and abundance - a place to be well, improve our lives and those in our community. They will be implementing the follow on programme for over 2000 “Jamie’s Farmers” expanding their unique experience of “farming, family and therapy” to re-engage children with academic life helping them to fulfil their potential in school and in the community of North Lambeth.
